Michael Jackson
Here's me throwing my towel in.
In your honor, MJ. :o)

Daft Punk
Weird to hear such a mellow (and sad) song from Daft Punk. It's great, Daft Punk should do some more exploring in this direction.
I need you more than anything in my life...
I want you more than anything in my life...

Metric
Great voice, great lyrics. Been listening to it on repeat for the past few weeks. Enjoy!

Cut Copy
Cut Copy - Nobody Lost, Nobody Found
This track is also from the In Ghost Colours album. It's my favorite track on the album, possibly my favorite of all of their songs. It's so throwback-from-the-80's danceable.
I'm sooo gonna make Boyfriend listen to it over and over.
Lil Wanye
Lil Wayne - Mrs Officer
I know this is supposed to be a blog for electro, but I've been infected by Boyfriend, and by some other friends. Plus also because this is one of the best songs ever.

Resuscitation
A long hiatus, again. Let's see what can be done to revive this blog.
I've run out of things to download and blogs to read. I spend waaay too much time on social networking sites. So let me give this blog another go. It gives me something to do, plus there's the added perk of sharing the great music I find, something I can't do with my friends - can I just say how hard it is to find people in Manila who really appreciate good electronica?
So, some light, happy, stoned early electro, something one can never get enough of. Both these tracks are from Party Monster.
Dead or Alive - You Spin Me Right Round (Like A Record)

Sino Sikat
Isn't it great, the process of falling in love? Makes one feel so fresh and giddy. The joy of making out for hours on end and not getting tired of it, getting to know the littler things about each other, and about each other's bodies...
Gosh, I could listen to this song all day. Hope you guys enjoy this taste of Pinoy music.

Felix da Housecat

He's pretty much an icon in the music industry. I learned to like him after a while, and later I began to love him.
This first track is arguably his most popular one. It's not my favorite, but it gives you a good feel of what his music is like: sometimes quirky, mostly with female vocals, and always with a sexy undertone.
Felix da Housecat - Like Something for Porno
I gave this a good run a couple years ago, when hipsters were so f'ing interesting, and damn (!) everything was young.
Felix da Housecat - Rocket Ride (Freeform Five Reform)
Here are a couple of my absolute favorites,
The first is a great example of 'sometimes quirky,' and its vocals scream sex.
The vocals around the 2:30 mark just makes me think how great sex on the clouds must feel like haha, maybe I'm just a perv. ;-)
Felix da Housecat - Radio (Shinichi Osawa Remix)
The second track I heart is a throwback to the 80's, which just gets me every time. It's nostalgic, but also really sexy. How cool is that? (This is your song, Jesus.)
Felix da Housecat - Ready to Wear
Ok, last track. I haven't given it much listening to yet, but I'm leaving it on my iPod because I know it's time will come. I trust Felix, and adore Royksopp. Plus, it was pretty hard to find.

David Guetta
Tonight I get to go to a club with some old friends, where we're gonna ogle the go-go boys if they're hot, flirt with the other guys there if they're hot, and get drunk regardless of who's hot and who's not.
Is there anyone else out there who as into go-go boys as I am? I could watch them all day and all night. Well not all go-go boys, just the ones who dance well. I've seen some great go-go boys in the hours I've clocked in at the clubs, and a lot of terrible ones.
I should post go-go music because I'm so excited, but I know what kinda music will be playin at the club, so some Frenchified pop instead. Go-go music in a different post sometime.
Enjoy!
David Guetta - Just A Little More Love
David Guetta - Baby When the Light (with Steve Angelo feat Cozi)
David Guetta - Distorsion (feat Morceau)

2raumwohnung
A German band, who sing in German, so I can never understand a word they say. But the female vocalist's voice just makes everything sound so dirty and sexy, plus a lot of their remixes are bass-heavy, so I'm hooked. :o)
Ich Weiss Warum is the first song of theirs I heard, off a World Groove album I believe, and I would listen to this song everyday while I was driving to my shitty night job. Made it... a little less shitty.
2raumwohnung - Ich Weiss Warum
The next song was on heavy rotation on my iPod last year, and at the end of the post, you'll find the music video for the unremixed version, which is pretty great, but Tiga's remix just makes this song so much more repeatable.
2raumwohnung - Ich Und Elaine (Tiga Remix)
This last song is the most bass-heavy and arguably the sexiest-sounding of the bunch.
2raumwohnung - Wir Trafen Uns In Einem Garten (Mit Max)
Enjoy!

Pleasure
I cannot tell you how many weeks I had this on repeat on my ipod. It was very pick-of-the-week for me, and just happened to last for more than a week haha. I look back very fondly on that time, it was a very light-hearted time because of this delicious electro-synth-pop song.
Oh yea, the lyrics are sad but still I find it a joyful song. Makes me wanna... run through the fields and play my fingers along the grass, or crops, or whatever.
I actually thought the song was Japanese at first, and then seeing the video pretty much confirmed it for me. So imagine my surprise when I read that it's by a one-man band from Norway, vocals by Heidrun Bjornsdottir.
Love those Scandinavian countries and their uncharted territory/music. But I may just love Japan more! Next post, the Japanese.

Pop Tarts: Beyonce and Britney
Always nice to find good remixes of (very) good pop songs.
First up is Miss Sasha Fierce Beyonce Knowles, whom one has to admire for churning out album after album, year after year, without rest. One can only imagine how Mommy Knowles continues to, uhm, inspire her child to be so hard working!
Beyonce - Check Up On It (DJ Chorizo Remix)
Beyonce - Me, Myself, and I (Remix feat Grafh)
Ok, just two remixes of Beyonce for now. More to come later.
Ahh, Miss Britney Spears, so controversial, so... exposed. I've had a listen to a few tracks from the newer album of 2008. It's alright, definitely not as good as Blackout. Oh Miss Britney, why have you gone sober!
A couple of great remixes.
Britney - And Then We Kiss (Junkie XL Remix)
Britney - Do Something (DJ Uppi Dance Remix)
Some good remixes.
Britney - Break The Ice (Rochelle Remix)
Britney - My Prerogative (Armand Van Helden Remix)
Britney - Slave 4 U (Overprotected Remix feat Jadakiss)
And one that goes down as one of the best mash-ups EVARR.
Britney vs Daft Punk - Daft Slave

Lifelike
Lifelike is a one-man outfit from France. His music has really been to my taste recently, very edgy, nostalgic. Not my typical type, but that's why it's so refreshing to have his music sprinkled around my playlists.
First, a video for the Epic Last Song remix, then a few choice tracks.
Does It Offend You, Yeah? - Epic Last Song (Lifelike Remix)
Treasure Fingers - Cross the Dancefloor
Treasure Fingers - Cross the Dancefloor (Lifelike Remix)
Van She - Kelly (Lifelike Remix)
And my favorite!
Relation - Your Tiny Mind (Lifelike Remix)

Cut Copy

From In Ghost Colors, one of the best albums of the year 2008. The first track is my absolute favorite, and kept me entertained for hours and hours. The second track is a really cool, retro track.
Cut Copy - Hearts on Fire
Cut Copy - Far Away
A remix that I'm just beginning to like

Plus, some tracks from their previous albums

Mathematikal
Listening to Mathematikal edits is what made me realize I can't just be listening to bass all day without paying attention how beautiful the bass really is.
Because the bass laid down by Mathematikal is so fucking beautiful, I realized that there is also bass that is terribly unremarkable, and sometimes downright terrible.
I remember once telling a friend that my taste in music was maturing, specifically the awesome bass, and that's all thanks to Mathematikal!

An old song, with a new spin
Michael Jackson - Billie Jean (Mathematikal Rerub)
For comparison, 2 remixes of a killer song, both equally bangin'
The Kills - Cheap & Cheerful (Mathematikal Rerub)
The Kills - Cheap & Cheerful (The VIDEOBAND Re-Distortion)
And finally, a song that makes me think that life would be so much better as part of the Borg (for the Trekkie in all of us)!
Harris Robotis - GO (Mathematikal Rerub)

Taken by Cars
Here's a vid of the fantastic Taken by Car's Stereolove. It's just the album cover but it achieves the purpose, to get you guys to buy their CD.
The lead vocalist, Sarah Marco is sooo the next Nina Persson. The guitarist, Siopa Chua, is just the cutest thing to walk earth, and I know a bunch of girls who've professed lust for the bassist, Benny Yap. The fourth member, Bryce Zialcita, I don't know much about, but I bet he's great too!
Ok, one song of theirs, one that they unleashed on Filipino radio networks earlier this year, thereby gaining them notoriety that crossed national borders.
Taken by Cars - Uh Oh
